Le Als s’inclinent devant les REDBLACKS dans les derniers instants de la partie

The Ottawa REDBLACKS led their Saturday game against the Montreal Alouettes until the final moments, Saturday, but their East Division rivals pulled through in the dying seconds, to steal 25-24 victory.

Quarterback Dustin Crum threw for 130 yards, and Tyrrell rushed for pair of touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a late Montreal score. Lewis Ward knocked through a 39-yard field goal, with Damon Webb, and Sherrod Baltimore notching interceptions, to go with a Cleyon Laing forced fumble and recovery.

The REDBLACKS struck first, when a Crum to Shaq Evans completion set up the first Pigrome touchdown, to put the REDBLACKS up 7-0. After Montreal got on the board with a David Cote field goal, Pigrome ran home his second of the night from 16 yards out, and four points from Ward had Ottawa up 17-3 at the half.

Caleb Evans completing a seven-yard pass to Tyler Snead saw Montreal draw within 10, but Crum soon scampered into the endzone from the 13-yard line, giving Ottawa a 24-10 lead late in the game. With time winding down, Cote was good from 50 yards, before Snead caught another touchdown, and an Evans two-yard touchdown run gave Montreal a late 25-24 win.

The REDBLACKS will look to snap their current skid, Sunday night, visiting the Edmonton Elks at 7:00pm ET.
