Le ROUGE et NOIR terminent leur saison contre le Argos, c’est la soirée de reconnaissance des partisans

The Ottawa REDBLACKS play their final game of the 2023 season, Saturday night, and they’ll do so while paying tribute to the best fans in the Canadian Football League.

It’s all about RNation at TD Place, as the REDBLACKS hold their annual Fan Appreciation Night, when toe hits leather at 7:00pm. It’s also a night of Halloween festivities, so make sure to show up in your spooky best.

The season ends with a rematch of Ottawa’s last game, in which a banged-up REDBLACKS squad put up a valiant fight, but fell to the Argonauts in Toronto. Dustin Crum threw for 183 yards, and a touchdown while visibly limping, before being forced to exit the game due to injury in the second half. Devonte Williams rushed for 125 yards and a major on the ground, leaving him 48 yards shy of 1,000 on the season, heading into the season finale. Tobias Harris had the play of the night on special teams, with a 92-yard kick return touchdown.

Ottawa will again have to make some injury considerations, with Drake Centers in line to make his first CFL start at right tackle, if Zack Pelehos is unable to go. Alijah McGhee starts at corner in place of the injured Brandin Dandridge, and Alonzo Addae slots in at halfback.

SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION

Following their win over the REDBLACKS, Toronto narrowly slipped by the Saskatchewan Roughriders on the road, last week, 29-26. Chad Kelly and Cameron Dukes combined for 388 passing yards, and a touchdown, while AJ Ouellette, and Daniel Adeboboye scored on the ground.

Dukes and Adeboboye start in the backfield for the Boatmen, as they rest their starters ahead of hosting the East Final.
