Le ROUGE ET NOIR visitent le Ti-cats pour leur premier match de présaison

It’s not quite the regular season just yet, but the Ottawa REDBLACKS have a game to play, this afternoon.

Ottawa faces off against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Tim Hortons Field, in a 2:00pm kickoff that will see both teams showcase some of their projected 2024 starters, while giving the “young guns” a chance to make an impact. Fans can watch for free, on CFL+.

One of the REDBLACKS’ prized offseason acquisitions, Dru Brown, leads the REDBLACKS out to open the game, with veteran offensive linemen Cyrille Hogan-Saindon, and the newly-signed Dariusz Bladek also suiting up to protect the quarterback. Marco Dubois gets the start at fullback, while Keaton Bruggeling suits up out wide. RNation will also get to see DeVonte Dedmon return kicks for the first time since an injury cut his 2023 season short, and newcomers in the likes of Khalil Simpleton, Ryquell Armstead, and Andre Miller get their chance to make an impact.

On defence, Lucas Cormier gets the start at will, with Alonzo Addae leading the team out at safety, and returners Tobias Harris, and Alijah McGhee also starting on the field side of the defensive backfield. Up front, second-round draft pick Daniel Okpoko suits up in his first CFL game, as he looks to disrupt the Ti-Cats offence.

With Hamilton playing at home, Bo Levi Mitchell will once again lead the team out at quarterback, alongside star receiver Tim White, with veteran offensive lineman like David Beard, Brandon Revenberg, and Coulter Woodmansey getting the start up front. Defensively, newly-minted Ti-Cats in Casey Sayles and David Usher get the opportunity to start, with Stavros Katsantonis also getting in on the action.

All it takes is a free account on CFL+, no matter where you are in the world, to watch this year’s CFL preseason, so don’t miss out on your first look at the 2024 Ottawa REDBLACKS!
