Le ROUGE et NOIR s’inclinent au Touchdown Pacific

The Ottawa REDBLACKS will want to burn the tapes after a 38-12 loss at Touchdown Pacific.

Having not lost a game since July 5th, the REDBLACKS had been cruising for just about two months, but Touchdown Pacific, and Labour Day Weekend brought a different story.

Their rematch with the Lions got off on the wrong foot, with BC scoring a touchdown on their opening drive. Things never got back on the rails for the REDBLACKS in the opening half, with the home side scoring points on every drive, and touchdowns on four of their five drives.

Ottawa simply had no answer, and went into the halftime break trailing 31-6.

The second half was slightly kinder to the REDBLACKS, but a comeback was just too much to ask. Dominique Rhymes did find the endzone for the first time this season, and Eli Stove and Andre Miller picked up their first career CFL receptions in the losing effort.

The REDBLACKS are back on the field next Saturday afternoon, for a critical clash with the Toronto Argonauts at TD Place.
